IMA European Galleries = awesome
If you ever get the chance to attend the black tie grand opening of a major museum's new European exhibit, I highly recommend you take it. Alternately, if you ever have a chance to check out the new European galleries at the IMA, ditto -- especially if you like impressionist stuff.
Wii are big dorks

Last night was one of the worst nights of my life. Together with my roommate, we lived over 14 hours of our lives in the parking lot of a Target while we waited for the new Nintendo Wii to go on sale.
To be honest, we were not expecting to wait quite that long. After all, we had hoped to score a Wii at midnight rather than 8:00 AM -- so to say that we were unprepared is a gross understatement. In fact, had it not been for a much-needed emergency blanket/gloves/coffee resupply, we would have surely frozen to death.
But by some miracle, when the sun finally rose, we were both still alive. Better yet, we were guaranteed a Wii.
And despite the fact that I hope I never subject myself to that kind of torture ever again, I have to say, the wait was worth it.
That's just not right
So it looks like Sacha Baron Cohen got beat up the other day. I hate to think of what might happen to him if he makes that rumored Burno movie.
Wii love you long time
Back before the internet was invented -- let alone spelled with a small "i" -- there was an online service called Prodigy. Once, I logged on there and went into a video game discussion area. I was very young. My goal was to post the lyrics to a parody ad jingle my friends and I had composed deriding the Sega Genesis and praising the Super Nintendo. By mistake, I ended up emailing those lyrics to a diehard Sega fan. The reply I received was filled with expletives.
Anyway, that's what I was reminded of upon viewing this parody TV spot from Attack of the Show:
Respek
In a bizare twist of fate, since my last post I have now seen every episode of Da Ali G Show and I have to say it is one of the all-time funniest things I have ever seen.
On the other hand, it's hard to compete with this:

When I first saw a trailer for Borat, I thought to myself, "Somebody made a movie based on that 'I kiss you' guy."
Turns out, I wasn't the only one.
